My family observed the Chanukah in our own special way considering we don't have rabbis here in the Philippines to guide us.
We lighted 8 candles one candle each day, and every day as we lighted those candles, we read the Macabees glorious triumphs over the pagan forces trying to annihilate the Faith.
We hope someday we can have our own menorah to be used on ocasions like this.

Do you begin lighting at sundown today or not until the first full day. If I light today then the 8th day is 1day short of the 28th?
